Dunno how much it cost...... think it was 2m of the 30x30 tubing, 6m (maybe more) length of the 36x19 tubing, 2.4m 25x2mm plate.

If I had these plans, it would have taken a day. Was a hell of a lot of trial and error. Making sure that the size was right before cutting (the age old saying: measure twice, cut once). Took around 2 months - was making it at my parent's place and only popped in there once a week for a few hours (sometimes just to confirm sizes).

price for the galvanizing to be added as well as the base plate

Clearly you have some mechanical skills. Does look a tad rudimentary though.

Rudimentary it might be, but it works a charm. We used a couple of times before to transport three bikes. Easy to load, bikes is secure, etc.

I'll just add points to attach / loop a cable through, and then number plate holder and lights.

There is a number plate holder and lights......

Form follows function. I thought of making it collapsible but then it adds wear points on the extra pins. Actually, I still have loads of ideas to improve it, but I need to let it be at some point and live with it.

Yeah, it'll work for those too. The one on the left is better than the one on the right merely because it supports the uprights for longer - the double pins stretch the holes over time.
