F2H Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I started at 9:15 and finished at 14:13. My Polar CS400 recorderd the avg temp for the 1st half at 32C and the avg temp for the 2nd half at 41C. The max temp recorded was 51C @ chapmans.

So I was not far behind you on Chappies (I got severe muscle cramps in Houtbaai, had to get a Physio to help me and eventually walked Suikerbossie). I can almost believe that. Chappies was like an oven then with the sun beating down there an almost no shade. Well most of the shade were taken already by riders hiding from the sun.
