Hubbers what do u think of the 2012 silverback space, Full carbon with ultegra groupo, downside wheels can be upgraded comes std with Aksium's

 

I tried calling some BS for pricing but unsuccessful to get a price. Does anyone have an idea of the price? I know according to Bicycling's web RRP less then R19000

hi you can get an axis ,( ar10c) full carbon with ultegra all round for R17 000, comes with mavic aksium wheels

apparently they've replaced raleigh in SA and are owned by Scott according to a bike shop I've been to lately.

maybe somebody else on the hub will have more info.

I've been looking at both these bikes, & was advised not to go for the Axis, so I am going for the Space 2, getting for R16500.

Axis don't make road bikes anymore. Some bike shops were giving them away. If you can get one cheaper than the Silverback, then it could be a good buy. But if the prices are similar, then the Silverback beats it hands down. The frame is so much better
