mmmmm only checking this fred now. How does the Bryton units calculate elevation...GPS points or Baro

to my knowledge Baro, i have never had any issues - oh yeah apart from my data being lost due to Bryton upgrading the site (however I had backed it up on Strava!)

I rate the rider 35 highly

I have a problem with bike mount of rider 35, unit pops off like nothing, almost want to strap it down with a cable tie.Goedkoop koop, is soms duur koop....

The mount on my Rider50 is solid as a rock....saddle-handlebar interface problem?

I bought my wife the Bryton 35 and neither the cadence nor the heart rate monitor have ever worked. Bryton was also, to say the least, not exactly helpful

Had a similar experience with the Bryton 30 watch. GPS struggles quite a lot during runs and has to find it's position too often for my liking. Agents have not been too helpful either from all the problems in the beginning with the watch, wont by another Bryton product becuase of this experience and afetrsales service.

I also have a 50 with the same climb inaccuracies. My actual ascent total at the end of a ride differs from the total when I download, by as much as 120m on a 700m climb. I've emailed Bryton about (I see several similar complaints on the web) but Brytons service is super ***, I've never had the courtesy of a reply. I've tried firmware updates and all, but still the same. Roll on Garmin...

I will admit that mine also felt a bit loose so i used the extra rubbers supplied and used them as additional straps as an added protection. That said, I only did this recently and have had absolutely no problems. I felt my mates Garmin mount, and his felt quite loose as well - so i guess its all relative

My total ascent's were different to my mates garmin for all three days of sani (higher than his), BUT, mine was almost on the nose to what was indicated on the route profiles each day
