I thought they stopped making Merida's a llollllooooonnnngggg time ago. Well at least I was hoping so after a shocking ride on those 120mm travel duallies.

Soooo ... anybody have further experience on this frame please?

ST handling, etc?

I have ridden mine (in SS setup) three times - 65km rolling gravel roads ( with 6km 5% climb), 32 km twisty single track with some steep, loose surface climbs and 70kms at Cullinan race.

I have no criticisms of the ride or the handling. Although the true test of handling will come on Saturday after a few of Wendall's beer shortcuts

Good value for money package.

I quite liked the ride on a Vida 1 even though the bike was a size too small and it was only on the road. It was quite slow though. I was battling to keep up with runners. Okay, i have to admit that they were the top runners in Gauteng, but anyway... Ja, the Vida is a good ride.

If I understand correctly, the Vida frame is actually made by Merida....

Made by and designed by are two completely different animals.
