Thanks to everyone who came out to ride this race! We had a wonderful Event!

The rain waited until the last riders were safely in and came down at 14h00!

We had a smaller field than last year - due to the inclement weather on the other side of the mountain - that is you cape towners, stellenboschers etc. - but everyone who rode was enthusiastic, enjoyed the route and had fun at the tent afterwards waiting for the awesome lucky draw prizes!

Thanks for the support, the Old Age Home and Local Primary School in the village of Wolseley will be so thrilled with the much needed funds raised.

Look out for the Event for next year - might have a few new surprises in store for you all!

Will post some pics of the brave cyclists soon!

Was great to be there this year. Pity the numbers were down especially noting that most of the riders finished before any rain fell. But I expect more people will go out again next year. Well done on a well organised event.

As long as the weather is good I will be there. I love this route. We did part of it in the 2010 Epic. I like the dirt road section up that hill. The views of the valley are just amazing.

How challenging is the 60 route compared to say dieburger mtb 60?

I'd say more technical sections, not really for the "Masses", like the Burges is designed to be

I did it about 4 years ago and it started with a nice climb up the mountain (after leaving town) for a good couple of km's. The route probably changed completely after that. Was really tough for me (and only about 50km I think)
