I do have a Nokia N8 and its battery cant be changed. I however do not intend to use it for longer than 2 years.

Interesting.

I have a Galaxy tablet, and another tablet, and a H7slim. Only the H7 has a removable battery. But the others are sure to see life well beyond two years.

WTF are manufacturers doing to us?

I mean, even your N8, surely has a service span beyond your upgrade timetable?

my point exactly. The battery is almost surely be the first thing to fail. But not making it replaceable the supply themselves with endless stream of business. If you can be clever enough to put a GPS and HR in a watch or fairly complicated computer in a wafer thin display....surely you are clever enough to have a removable battery.

All very true, cannot argue the point. Guess with them "creating" a recurring income stream like this, their service HAS to be good to keep everybody happily smiling and spending cash?
