thats the idea if your commute is too rough..just a little bit of help Saw it in Popular Mechanics, R1000 or something, 50CC motor. Brilliant idea

Come to campus, we have a bunch here, a local shop sells it as a kit and off you go. Makes one hell of a noise though and isn;t what one would call quick.

Any more info? Where 's the bike shop and do you know how much They charge for the conversion ?

On the thinkbike forum, there's a guy in Durban who did a home conversion similar to that on a tandem. He commutes on it daily.

Would be a cool commuter. Seen the various motor options years ago, including electric, but lately not interested with dealing with customs and other hassles of importing thus if someone locally is making a living out of doing the conversions I may look into it.
