Bike Prices in Dubai and Singapore

Going to these places on holiday and thought i might bring a bike back with me if the prices are right. Anybody brought bikes over there before? cheaper then in SA and is the prices difference worth the effort? Ill make sure it looks used before flying it into the country.

Unless you are going to the States, it is not worth the risk and effort and you won't save much buying in Dubai or Singapore.

Singapore is very expensive for most things. Can't imagine you will get a cheap bike there

From my experience Dubai is more expensive than SA (I'm looking to buy in SA instead of Dubai). Tell me what you're after and I can try get some prices for if you want a more accurate comparison.

So same question for the States then? I'll be in LA in late June or July... was planning to upgrade my bike towards the end of the yr but perhaps I should go shopping while there? Then what is the best modus operandi to get the bike back preferably duty free?

You can't get it in duty free unless you strip it down and all the different parts must be in separate boxes , also not going to the same address.

I was in Qatar in 2006 and things were really cheap there but we were in Dubai in 2010 and everything there was more expensive than here!!!

Thanks for the feedback. Guys ill keep my money in the country and be proudly SA with my next purchase (even if its made in China).
