Sent Cape Cycle Systems an email with the pics and they are happy to say that its merely cosmetic. Its very far from the dropout point as well. With this confirmation, i bought some putty and filled the hole. Just needs a little spray paint and we sorted.... Will post pics!

There was mixed advice on the postings... initially i was cool with it being cosmetic but then "The Drongo" posted a comment and made me weiry... just needed a second opinion... thanks for all the advice tho... appreciate it!

Some progress... i used Alcolin Epoxy putty stick and the outcome is....

Should i paint it? Or leave it as is....

 

And I rode it like that yesterday... seems all is fine...

Damb , you have had some practice with putty !

get one of those white felt tip permanent pens and just fill it in.

Why not ask Cape Cycle Systems? You seem very unsure of yourself and you better get a second opinion before proceeding with such drastic steps.
