Ramrod Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I bought a road bike last year when I weighed 112kg also bought a mtb this year. Both of them carbon and the difference is immense. Go for it! You will feel the difference.

Go steel, it has the smallest carbon footprint of steel/aluminium/carbon. Carbon footprint as per Ride magazine, Sept 11:For a 10kg frame:Steel: 42kgAluminium: 72kgCarbon: 114kgTitanium: 400kg Steel is real:)... Know nothing about roadbikes btw, but love my steel MTB
