wesley_r Posted September 26, 2012 Share The Dartmoor Simple chain guide has been installed... awesome piece of kit, the red anodised finish is something to behold! Had LBS install it for me, there's a bit of clunkiness when back pedalling which we're trying to figure out but it's not critical. Had my bike serviced the other day at The Bike Shed for the first time (not the LBS I am referring to here). Got the bike back and the chain guide was smooth as a baby's bottom - asked Jaco what he did and he said he simply lubed the roller a bit. He is becoming a weight weenie and (I am not sure if you ever saw his vid made at Contermanskloof where he was dragging his brakes down the whole trail doing 15km/h max on the DH sections) it is a clever way of keeping speed on the down hill sections.
