I admire you following your passion.

I have often thought of doing the same, just too scared to take the plunge.

I am a tool maker, so I really appreciate your skill.

You make amazing art. Keep the posts coming.

Cant beat hand build bicycles, I love steel.

Is it possible to get tubesets in sa? Or would I have to import myself? I have made a few mtb frames out of mild steel as practice and to get the geometry right but am keen to make one out of reel steel! Can't find cromoly anywhere in sa, even straight gauge tubing.

It will be more cost-effective to get them from Ceeway in the uk, and get them shipped to SA.

With a bit of a delay! The build was completed a couple of weeks after my first post. Here are some more pics of the build

The seat cluster just has the Top Tube and Seat Tube soldered in

This has just come out of a 12H soak in water. Hence the rust, it's only superficial

Just after soldering

Love your work man. Wish i had done something like this before I had kids..

What lugs are you using, that double fork crown looks like a Cinelli crown from the '60's.

You planning on coming back to SA and maybe applying your skills here?

Lugged frames are the best, just so much detail can be handworked onto a lug.

Damn I am really in owe, love steel and the detail on the lugs, Brillant, well done

There is nothing stopping you building your self a frame!

It's a Paris-Bress fork crown

Would love to come back to S.A but it will be a uphill battle convincing people to ride steel.
