I have made a few mtb frames out of mild steel as practice and to get the geometry right but am keen to make one out of reel steel! Can't find cromoly anywhere in sa, even straight gauge tubing.It will be more cost-effective to get them from Ceeway in the uk, and get them shipped to SA.

Here are some more pics of the build The seat cluster just has the Top Tube and Seat Tube soldered in This has just come out of a 12H soak in water. Hence the rust, it's only superficial Just after soldering There is a bit of excess silver which still needs to ble cleaned up

It's a Paris-Bress fork crown Would love to come back to S.A but it will be a uphill battle convincing people to ride steel.
