Crank arm coming off while riding

Can any body tell me if this is normal. while riding on Sunday, doing about 30km per hour in head wind my whole crank-arm comes off and i had to get someone to pick me up. So is this something that happens or was it the mechanic that put the groupset on about 3 months ago. Thanks.

What crank is it, FSA have a habit of doing that.

Locktite thread lock on the screws, or get screws with a bit of threadlock on them, that blue stuff.

I had that - in my 1st duathlon. mechanic fault I believe. (mine was a new shimano 105)

probably stripped - i agree with the locktite advice unless you have immediate plans to upgrade.

Beware of loctite, it is stuff made for people who can't assemble stuff properly or for use on stuff that wasn't designed properly in the fist place...
