Meentb Posted July 1, 2012 Share I recently bought myself a Specialized stumpjumper expert. The bike came stock with a Sid Brain 80mm. Now the question is. Can I use the spacers from my Sid RLT to make it 100mm. If so who is the best person to send this to in the pta area? CheersMeent
MrJacques Posted July 2, 2012 Share Contact Johan from Yellow Saddle (in jhb area though), he knows a bit about forks. Also, check out this article: http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/article/workshop-how-to-adjust-travel-on-a-rockshox-trail-fork--26840/ Edited July 2, 2012 by Jacquers
Tankman Posted July 2, 2012 Share The Brain has to be worked on by a Specialized dealer otherwise the warranty will be null n void ... or so I have been told!
Top Fuel Posted July 2, 2012 Share The Brain has to be worked on by a Specialized dealer otherwise the warranty will be null n void ... or so I have been told! That's also what I have heard. As far as I know most bike shops won't even touch the "Brain" shock.

Wyatt Earp Posted July 28, 2013 Share You don't use spacers to extend the travel, you remove spacers. And as some have said, the fork needs to go to Specialized in Stellenbosch if you want to keep all warranties in check.
