Morewood Shova ST Large and Medium - Test Rides Please! :)

Hi all,

Ok, ive been phoning around and doing some research regarding the Shova ST and the frame size for me specifically....and from the feedback i got from my previous post and from speaking to the guys at Morewood themselves, the general consensus is that i should go for a LARGE frame. I have however had some feedback from guys saying they are the same (or very similar height) saying that they ride medium and that its perfect form them....Im 1.8m, 90kg's.

Ive phoned all the dealers specified on Morewoods website to see if they have any Shova's on the floor (long shot i know) but alas, no one has any Shova's as they went out of production 2 years back.... :(

So now my request...

Would any of the Morewood guys (Cape Town based) with Shova ST's in either a medium or large be willing to let me have a quick spin on the bike just for me to get an accurate feeling of the 2 frame sizes? Im not talking about bombing the thing down the hill, but just a chilled pedal around for a few minutes...PLEASE!!!!!!! :)

Im willing to come to your house and take a spin in the street or meet elsewhere etc at your convenience?

Kind of desperate here guys...really need to know for myself which frame size would be better but in order to do that i need to actually have a 'lil go on the bike....

If anyone is willing to help me out they can send a PM or reply to post here.

Im in Cape Town, willing to travel (around Cape Town) to test the bike...Cape Town's not that big! :)

Thanks in advance guys

I live kind of down the road from you in Sunningdale.

I have a medium with a shortish 60mm stem you are welcome to fit on and take for a spin over the weekend.

The link to the Morewood's owned on the Hub SA .. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/40435-lets-see-those-morewoods/

I was thinking about it last night and I am almost certain you would be a large frame, but find one and take her for a spin to see how she feels.

I have one. I work in the Stellenbosch area close to Eden. You are more than welcome to come take it for a spin. I am not here this weekend but let me know next week and we can make a plan to go for a ride after work. We can test it real good on the trails here in Eden. It is bound to be fun.
