Thrubolt hub to skewer fork adaptor

Hi all,

 

Sitting with a thru bolt front wheel that I want to run on my quick release fork. Are these adaptors readily available and what is the correct name for such item :)

What hub have you got?

 

You can buy QR adaptors for Hope, ZTR, DT & several other brands, but not Shimano

actualy no idea. They are Giant PXC2 29'er rims. Think it would be "Giant Tracker". Assume they will be a rebrand of another hub?

What outer diameter is a normal axel? I would imagine if one could turn something fairly easy that fits over a standard axel with an OD of 15mm and the right length? With lips on either side to space and prevent movement?

 

If I may ask. why does Shimano not cater for this?

I use a set of those Giant wheels for training and converted my front hub to QR using the axle assembly from a old Campag Chorus front hub. Works like a charm. Fits straight in with absolutely no modification required. Will post a pic later of the axle in the Giant hub.
