Hi Guys

Was out shopping and saw this bike chained to a pole. I noticed the campy logo on all the parts and thought I might be onto something.

Can you guys help with what campy "version" these things are? Possible spares? The bike name is a mercia, and I did find their website. The bike has been painted red, but looks to be a yellow colour underneath.

Cinelli bars, and campy everywhere else, headset, wheel hubs, shifters, the lot.

Any help on the bike histroy would be great as well as the parts.

Those are campagnolo victory levers. Super Record levers are virtually the same except they have Campagnolo written vertically where the shield is. The crank is C Record, very sought after. The hubs look like low level victory.

If its cheap i'd say go for it.

One problem with the crank is that its missing its self extracting crank bolt. Thats fine for the right crank arm but if the left one is missing then you'll have a problem getting the crank off because it is reverse threaded and you wil need a special crank extractor.

ok, sounds interesting, like a fun project. Javadude, thanks for the input.

I will get a pic of the RD for you tomorrow. Going to discuss pricing with the owner!

Sheesh, if those are entry level Victory rims they appear to be going for a song on ebay !

Victory was a lower end group, but still decent quality. You can still buy new old stock victory parts on ebay, but they are not cheap. Original new break lever hoods like those in the picture can set you back anything from R600 to R1000. I recently managed to import a couple of good quality repro hood sets for R 300 a set.

The bar and stem also look like they're in good nick

Sad, I see that was re-sprayed, and they got paint all over the chainrings. Slowbee, get, fix it, flog it. It's far too big for you anyway.
