So today it just occurred to me that I have been let down twice by hubbers last year.

I have also been supported by many so this is a minor rant lol...

Case 1

A hubber requested donations of clothing and cycle items. They offered to pay for the postage so I sent them the items worth over 1k and never received my postage back. I looked today and they were last online around the time I sent my last message of items are posted and here are my banking details.

Case 2

I requested a supplier to send me sample stock (Energy Bars) for my mates store and even offered to pay for them, I was informed that they would be free I just needed to pay for postage. So I did. Kept on getting excuses and no product...

So seeming as I forgot (Probably after getting nowhere) did they as well or are they just Aholes??

There is much truth in the say "He who shouts loudest will be heard!" Suppose they had more important things to worry about in their minds.

Aholes. It really doesn't take that much effort to do an eft or send somebody to the post office. If they were genuine you would have gotten your money and samples. "I forgot" is just an excuse and a bad one at that. Hope you kept a record of their details for future reference.

I have. I mean sometimes it is genuine that we need a reminder but once we get it we normally action it right away as we feel like Aholes, in these cases nothing... Oh well what comes around goes around I guess...

If the guy wants kit, it's very unlikely for his own use. So frankly he's doing something good. If he forgets to pay you, that doesn't make him an a-hole. Remind him once or twice, and then don't worry about it. If it's really bothering you, put up your bank details and I'm sure one of us will pay you for your postage.

I mean, thanks for sending the kit in and contributing yourself, but rather be happy you're contributing and don't worry too much about the postage, unless you can't afford it.

It was for himself as he wanted to see if he liked cycling. Its not about the money but the principle of it. Even just a simple thanks would have been great.

It is the principle. If you say to someone you will do something, then do it. We have only our names at the end of the day...
