Trek Superfly carbon 29er VS Titan Carbon Pro 29er

need some advice here please

 

looking to purchase either of these 2, both are nice in my mind, need to choose one

That crazy ever considering the titan .. The carbon they use . Is not nearly as good as the trek !! and if I am correct trek has life time warranty ??or is it only on the road frames ??

thanks hendrich, i have been told its the same carbon as the merida's

the titan also has a much better group set, wheels and front shock compared to the Trek! i do agree that a lifetime warranty is a major bonus.......

I know the same distributors that bring in Merida do Titan as well, don't know about the quality of the carbon. I will go for the better groupset option

Seems I agree with the better groupset, I don't know much about the MTB spec's but its seems the Deore XT is a pretty decent groupset ??

they trek is awesome, but they don't have stock of the hard tail anymore and i can't really afford the soft tail!

I am not saying you should be a weight weenie, but look at the weight of the Titan before you decide. We had one guy join our group ride on a Carbon Titan (not sure which model) with full XT and his bike came in at 13.5kg (he had light tyres etc so that was not the problem). IMHO a carbon HT with full XT should not come near 13.5kg! Edited September 5, 2012 by Mr SingleTrack
