Hi Pops

You already have the brake and shifters seperate. Stay with that option. Like they say, cheaper to replace one of the two.

Met al die myle wat jy op jou MTB sit moet jy maar twee stelle koop. Wink

Lurker, thats the best you can buy.

mine is the ladies, because it fits nicely in the hands and is not that thick.

On my first Epic, i had normal grips, your wrists and hands get so sore. I know about girls who got tendernitis? in their whrists and their boyfriend or the machenics SWOP the right to the left because of all the pain in their hands and wristes. (from gearing up and down, shifting and just putting force on the wrists)

Last year I had this, and many other, I did not had any pain and I will truly recommend it.

i.m.o... yes its worth that R280 or is it R300.popeye2008-01-16 03:59:24

Titus' date=' I got the Giant Anthem1

shifters: You asked if I need it seperate

Is it better 2 have it seperate?
if something happend and ons piece brake, than its so much cheaper to replace or not?

but with 2 parts, do the handlebar than look like a helicopter cockpit, and no space left for my polar and GPS.

having integrated shifters does not make you more vulnerable to parts failure. What could break in the STi? The mechanism is replaceable as are the levers. Probably cheaper to fix an STI than a separate system.

Also in 4 years of using Shimano Dual Control, I have yet to break a Shifter or replace anything other than the cable.

It's also more crash resistant because the lever is design to articulate so when you crash it moves out of the way unlike with separate systems which are often clmaped to tightly to the bars. There should be no fear about breakages with Dual Control. It's the superior product.

I got 2 or 3 questions that Lefty suggest to asked, but they ignore me. Maybe its still weekend for those knucleheads.

Has anyone else noticed that CWC is no longer that cheap. The Campy groupsets are also much more expensive at the moment.
