I had my LBS do it for me because getting tubeless tires to seat is a mission!

Best bet is to have a soapy solution of water handy (to help the beading seat) and head over to your nearest garage to use their compressors (assuming you have a valve adapter) to attempt to inflate the tire since high volumes of air make it hells easier.

You have to have a compressor and a adaptor, also you must remove the inner removable valve section to allow max air into the tyre.

Then lots of soapy water painted all aver the tyre and inner rim with a paint brush.

I have always ridden with non ust tyres and have never had problems.

It does help with a new tyre if you have a buddy to help move the tyre around a bit on the rim while you inflate.

having wrestled continental 26x1.1 slicks onto fulcrum mtb rims I can relate!

warm soapy water and a visit to the garage (presta to schraeder converter is R20). over inflate and it usually seats after a couple of tries and some cussing.

the loud bang and the ducking petrol jockeys is worth it :D
