70km in bela bela in winter messed my chain up so badly. The links had more play than the grotto at hef s place

And you would need lube for both those instances as listed above!

Hi All

Is there anything different I need to know about fitting a Half Link Chain vs a std chain?

Just asking before I play on the SS tonight.

Chain .... Spank Tweet Tweet Half Link

Did you win?

Did you win?

As per my PM ... .... all I managed to do last night was to take the chain out the box to show the wife how lovely it looks and to place it next to the bike so that I can fit it.

I hope to do better this evening!

Is anybody having problems with the Tweet Tweet chain jumping?

I've tried it on a variety of sporckets (no name brand, gusset, shimano - all ss specific) and as soon as I add pressure it jumps. Driving me crazy.

SS is supposed to be simpler FFS!

I have fitted the chain, but not ridden the bike in anger yet ... waiting for the stem as it is on loan with a friend who is trying out a "shorter stem" before buying one.

But what you say scares me!

I'm not so impressed by these chains - a few more attempts then it'll be flung far into the back yard and replaced by a less colourful but much more useless chain..

I use a plain old sram nickel silver bmx chain and it hasn't jumped a day in it's life. Damn EyeCandy and her "ohhh but the colour" whims.

Just a follow up

The half link chain has been great and the blue has also held up very well with nice direct feel with a really silent chain, I just hope the life span of the chain is going to be good.

Pic attached for reference.
