JGR Posted November 2, 2012 Share Just to amend my post above. NO I wont be at this years event. Just got a shocker : price tag for entry is R750 Theres no way I'm paying R750. Things are really getting out of hand here. Last year it was about 55 dollars which equated to just under R500. I suppose the organizers are trying to make up for lost revenue for last years race when the timing equipment failed and they opted to refund competitors some of the registration fees. Well I'm not impressed. That is what the CPT race cost last year if i recall but still pretty hectic for a race that last 2.5hrs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Theres a bunch of races at least 1 a month for this summer. At R350 to R500 a pop it starts costing. At R750 No way ! I dont mind paying R750 for races like Midlands Ultra but I sure as hell am not paying R750 to go to sun city. Never mind all the other costs involved like wife, kids valley of waves, casino lunch etc. End the day it can cost thousands never mind the R750 reg fee. The only reason why I do 5150 is cause the wife and kids enjoy the resort. Its become an annual family long weekend.
