Hi, How much did you pay for the Bike ?....also need to buy my son a new bike.

Hi, the RSP is R3,999

It is pricey for a kids bike but I figure its worth it, it's a lot lighter & it's rigid so he'll learn to handle a bike properly, his brother will also use it when my eldest son outgrows the bike so hopefully a good few years use will justify the price.

The lighty is loving the bike, he's already confident on it and racing round the drive way, not bad for a kid who's just turned four. I'll give him a month or 2 and then take out to Rietvlei.

A decent bike is going to cost money but the spin-off is he is going to enjoy cycling more with this bike than a game junk one. Reason why we also bought a decent one for my 5yr old.

Nice to see Momsen being smart and saving weight/money fitting a rigid fork. Those suspension forks fitted to kids bikes are completely pointless - heavy, no control in the suspension movement and let's be honest the kids don't need them at their weight and their age.

Nice bike. Credit to Momsen for coming up with it, hope they sell enough to keep producing them. Agree on the righed fork, kids this age are too light to get much benefit from suspension and what is available is all rubbish anyway, about as effective as no suspension at all, just heavier. Momsens' idea to rather go for lighter weight is a great one.
