Tall (dark & handsome) Boy

Delilah

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I sent the salesman an e-mail about this and he is very apologetic. He promised to sort it out on Monday. At this time I believe that it was an honest mistake. I have to give them the benefit of the doubt here, because CWC have always given me great service.

This is a pain for sure, because I'll have to ship the 2012 frame back, but these things happen sometimes

On to nicer things: I should be getting the finished wheelset on Monday

Hmmmmm... I see Merlin Cycles have the black Fox 32 Talas 120 RLC Fit 29er Tapered, with Kashima coating, for a great price: $730.52

Slightly heavier than Reba/Sid at 1.77kg. Any reason not to go for it?

And the RLC FIT is the right one to go for, ito adjustability. Basically the same as the reba RLT Ti, but with kashiiiiiima!

I got one of those, but to be honest I'm too dumb to figure out the 'low speed compression'. Setting thr rebound is more than enough for me.

That shock goes for $625 at Merlin right now. I think it's a great buy.

Hope you sort out the frame.

Hi Oom Koos. Thanks!

I checked again and there is no 29er Talas model at that price

BB?

Spokes (DT Swiss Revos) are being supplied by LBS currently building the wheelset

Doesn't the groupset come with BB? Oops! Will have to check!

Thanks Awesme

Delilah, It probably does, and V will make sure he gets you everything needed, but rather save than sorry.

Remember the brass nipples. otherwise they seize.

Asking could lead to a BB as part of Groupset or a non standard, never know... :D

Hi

Do't worry, doing same research my side, also got a wanna build plan for next year, If lucky might pickup the frame this year still.

Know what I want to do wheelset wise (ZTR Crest, Hope EVo2, DT Swiss spokes), got a good idea about the front fork, I think, Fox 34 Talas, DT swiss rear shock.

Groupset will be x mix of some 2012 XT Brakes, Itech shifters matched to balance of set 2013.

As for the nipples, speak to Johan Bornman, he prefers brass nipples, they don't seize long term, If I recall correctly what he said.

Sound like an "awesme" build! :P Which frame?

Isn't nipple seize an issue with alloy rims only?
