Has anyone bought online from Chain Reaction Cycles? What's the service like and do you get nailed with import duties when products are shipped?

Bought from Chainreaction, but got it delivered via a buddy who lives in the UK.  Great variety and stock.  I am thinking of getting another bulk order with a few mates that will include consumables like chains and clusters as well as some bling!  If you order big they ship for free!

Looking at hubs or custom wheelset. Prices seem very good. They offer free shipping to SA on orders of over 250 GBP.

There service is very good. Import duties only on clothing and shoes. Otherwise it is just VAT.

As a previous post said try TotalCycling and local you have to check Chris Willemse's website before you buy.

cranky. go to www.totalcycling.com

register and pick the parts you want into your basket (the ZAR conversion - flag) is on top of the page.

They gave you a R/c value and shipping included.

(go look at my order on the"technical" section of the hub... the XT Post)

You will only pay a additional 14% tax when picking up from the post office.

last

... Don't try and e-mail crc's or totalcycling. They dont respond to your questions. I mailed them on monday/thuesday and still no response

Have bought more than 20 times from CRC including 2 wheelsets and have never had a problem with them. All i can say is they build a brilliant wheel, better than anyone here in the WC.My last set of wheels were DT240 hubs on mavic 819 rims and cost me about R4500 and that included DHL.

If i am buying an expensive order i will DHL it to SA.Takes 3 days to your door and you bypass SA post office .
