Hmm, lets see. Company discovers problem in production that has caused 6 frame failures around the world, they investigate, realise it could be a bigger problem and they recall the product... seems the responsible thing to do.

 

I know of more than  few companies who let the consumer pay for their F-up's.

There a particular brand of bike that loves to crack at the seat tube seat post collar

and then therea nother that cracks at the shock mount on the frame.

not to mention that other brand that has cracking chainstays..

 

But hey just give you another bike, crack that one too and you think argh cool, a new bike every year, till one breaks and youmeet that nurse but you're too f-ed to get her phone number LOL.

Seems like it's a 2 horse race between cervelo & cannondale to see who can recall the most products...  Big%20smile

AFAIK, the part that was at fault was the carbon chainstays, which were not manufactured to the correct specification.

Yes,  there was a glitch on the production called,lets call him Mr Wing. He did not glue the stays correctly.
