A quick question for the smart people.

What difference will 120 mm travel vs 100 mm travel make on my TallBoy?

Feel?

Geometry?

Will I notice it?

yeah you'll notice the feel will become slightly more relaxed and less twitchy because the head angle will slacken up its definately not a bad thing and if you riding abit more rough stuff. slightly more travel and a slacker head angle will make it more relaxed which is generally good unless youre a racesnake.it depends what you after and also make sure the frame is rated for that fork travel because it adds slightly more stress to the frame.

+1 for what mr christmas tree said

Geometry: About half a degree slacker head angle, maybe more depending on the bike. I think you will notice the front end being a bit higher and being able to take slightly bigger hits.

The tallboy as far as i can remember was designed to run 120mm, also read somewhere that the chaps at Santa still ride their pre-prod models at 140mm and are luving it. though if you go 140mm youll void the warrantee.

Thanks for the advice. Yes the TallBoy can do a 120mm fork.

Next question:

I have a SID XX Worldcup 100mm fork on there. Can this be changed to 120 mm? It seems it is just a spacer, can anybody confirm?

a 120mm rockshox fork can be dropped to 100mm using a spacer but im not sure if a sid xx world cup would have spacers in it that can be removed to increase travel

Can any technical savvy person confirm if the 100mm can be adjusted to 120 mm?

Ok firslty where the hell did you get the idea of 129mm? And secondly no a SID cannot be extended to 120mm it can however be dropped from 100mm to 80mm. The Reba forks comes in variants of 140/120/100/80 depending on the model Reba.
