Thanx for all the support. The drip is flowing fast and the drugs are working))))))))

They are cutting in the morning to fix the ligament that joins my collarbone and shoulder.

Hope it all goes well and heals up super quick!

We had a great race - always love this one! Despite the wind, everyone still seems to dig in and clock high average speeds.

We were taking bets if the 2h barrier will be broken though - close call!

Btw, if anyone picked up a cycle computer on the Mamre Hill climb, please let me know. Cycling buddy of mine knocked hers off by mistake. Our ThinkBike Marshal was kind enough to turn around and look for it, but couldn't find it unfortunately..

Thanks!

PS Roll on 94 km's of D'Urbanvale racing! ;-) Closest race to me, no petrol costs, yipee! ;-))

J, how did the race go for you?

It was good thanks. 2:18:03 I stopped the clock. Legs were stronger than I thought when I lined up at the start. Hopefully the improvement curve continues! Managed to get over the only climb on the course without too much issue so climbing speed is certainly coming good. See you at the next race!

Well done. Yeah, I'll be at the Durbanville race. 3km by bike to the start (use it as a warm up) Nice easy downhill run to my home as a cool down. What bliss.

By the way, they have completed the section of Wellington / Klipheuwel road between Lubbe and Brackenfell Boulevard. Only lines needs to be painted on surface. Lovely SMOOOOTH tar. Gonna be a joy cycling on Klipheuwel road now.

Did you manage to get onto the Blue Train?

Finished with WHITE helmet straps. (always thought they black) hahaa! Or maybe because Cape Town Giants decided to heat up things in K.

"Outriders" train was empressive. Unhooked on the 10km turn and just couldn't close the gap, fought into the wind until eyes felt like popping. Heard a pop, looked for puncture, and soon realise it was a lung.

GREAT FUN!

when they came flying past I overheard one of the guys saying "lekker spinning". eek.gif Thought i'll be safer sticking to my group which was going at around 37km/h at that stage...

First time I ever did this race, only been cycling since March. Got a 2:50 very happy with that, I'll definitely be back next year hopefully at the 2:30 mark...
