awesme Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 (edited) Hi all Ok, so it seems in the 650 Market there are 2 set of 650b compatible forks atm. Fox with the 34 Talas & 34 Float.I like the idea of the Fox range with the CTD capabilities, allows me to ride it which every I need for where, locked down to say 110/120 for XC and full open when doing up down trail stuff. & then Rock Shox with the Revelation range: Revelation XX - Only tapered on that I could see.Revelation RCT3Revelation RLRevelation RLT Anyone willing to throw some comment in on the Revelation, I got a SID (RLT on my 26er atm, and well I like it, but then don't have allot of previous experience to compare it against). In the Rock Shox range Solo air and Dual air, Whats the difference/benefit. And because of previous experience lets add a poll, pick which fork you'd select for trail/xc riding G Edited September 16, 2012 by awesme
jannosmit Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Fox: Float is not adjustable, TALAS is (Travel adjustable liniar air spring - or something like that) Rock Shox: As far as I know the 2013 models also just has a single air setting, no more positive and negative air setting, it does that by its self. All the settings on the RS is a bit useless, just go for the RLT version. Both the Relevation and Fox 34 range are the beefed up forks, more for trail riding etc. Fox is usually a bit more heavier than Rock Shox.
awesme Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 Hi there thanks. Fox, nice to know the definition of the name Talas Ye, read last night, only the Solo air, and it is adjusted using a spring, depending on the length required/desired. So for RS you'd propose the Revelation RLT. shaper Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 White Brothers and X-Fusion have 650b forks, think Manitou will also be doing 650b forks snoop01 1
awesme Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 On the RS, whats the difference / benefits going with the RLT compared to the XX (which is a tapered fork).
