Hi I also have the storm 1 let me know what you are going to use Id like know. Will normal tube around the chain not work?

Will that kind of damage be covered by the warentee?

Buy a chain check tool. Never let the chain wear too much. Shorten the chain. If its shorter it doesn't have the slack to suck right up the front ring. I shot earn my chain until I can't use all gears. It won't change across rings, but who needs that anyway?

Surely your hanger should break before your chain stay? That's just crazy. Probably a crack there already.

Until you damage your frame. Been there done that.

After every ride make sure to check you front chain rings for any type of damage. Make sure the drivetrain is as clean as possible.

And apparently ( im still to test this theory) a 2 blade system has less (or no) chain suck vs 3 blade system. Chain suck normally happens in the small front blade but normal in big blade

Crash damage as chain suck is, will typically not be covered in any sort of warranty - replacement would be at the distributors discretion.

Probably not...if you keep pedalling with the chain suck it'll just draw more chain in and try and fit it where its not designed to go and break the chainstay, the hanger may break as well because doing this effectively shortens the chain and will rip the derailleur off...

Some truth, however if your rings and chain are worn it will chain suck regardless of a double or triple setup.

Basically if you keep an eye on your chain and chainring wear it should never be an issue...

The rear derailure and hanger has no impact on chain suck. It is the chain sticking to the front chain ring. This cannot be prevented by any mechanical means. Only by keeping the drive train in good condition.

Try some punctuation and capitalisation. It is important. It could mean the difference between helping your uncle Jack off a horse and, helping your uncle jack off a horse.

Now. That little metal plate is only to prevent most of the scratches and scrapes that a sucked chain causes. Chainsuck is a tri-partiate alliance: dirt, wear and chainring size.

Dirt: The more of it, the more the chainring will stick to the chain.

Wear: The more the chainring is worn, the greater the hook effect will be and more frequent the chain suck.

Chainring size. For a given amount of wear, a smaller chainring will suck more than a larger one because of the hook's angle. The hook I'm referring to is the worn cog* that now looks like a shark's fin. Upside down at the suck side, it is a hook.

There are chainsuck devices on the market. These bolt to the BB or such and prevent the chain from passing it. I'm not sure if they're effective. Never used one.

Chainsuck doesn't know if it emanated from double or triple chainrings. It only sees the three factors above. A temporary solution could be to file off the tips of the hooks.

*A cog is one tooth on a gear or sprocket.
