They are the same, except one is black and one is silver.

 

They just cut and pasted different bits from the specs and marketing blurb.

strange that they changed their habits, other parts they allowed you to simply select another drop down to select the colour or something, not a total complete 2nd listing of the part.

 

was thinking they look the same, other than the inclusion of the BB on the one, and then the MTB and Q factor listing, just not sure.

 

Whats this q-factor?

distance between the pedal mating surfaces on the crank arms. Lower q factors place less strain on the knee and hip joints.

If you're..........big boned don't worry about it too much

 

 

PS: In the past Shimano didn't have different part numbers for black vs silver chainsets. they just added a colour code.

they changed their internal SKU coding so now the retailer has to list both chainsets as separate sku's.
