anyone know how the On-one boys did this frame ... it is raw steel with a clear coat over and is a good few years old now and looking very good

 

The the Morewood boys were also doing semi translucent coats to their ally frames ... if I am not mistaken those are powder coated .... but oh so sexy!

True - but multiple coats will help somewhat - also you could consider clear powdercoating - but that is also not a guarantee..

 

Pinholes will be visible under bright lights, and you can fill them with paint using a toothpick once it is dry - not a perfect solution, but better than nothing.

 

Pinholes also sometimes are caused by a less than clean surface - again a painter quality issue, as is solvent pop... which also means the finish is not perfectly clear - like tiny bubbles.

I think the Contraband Rogue is also a raw steel finish. Yet to see one in the flesh though.

Well the Raw with clear Coat On-One is hanging in my Garage waiting for it's wheelset before be set loose on the trails :)

 

Might have to pull my ass up the mountain one Wednesday morning to come pay my respect.

I wish I'd found this thread yesterday. I'm using dulux fixit double strength paint stripper and it's been piss poor so far.
