Greetings Hubbers,

Im a newbie here, hoping to improve my cycling knowledge.

I have been a casual cyclist for many years and i now want to participate in cycle challenges.

I have done 11 000kms in the last 5 years with my hybrid commuter. Now its time 4 a new road bike.

With a budget of 20k including a proper helmet, accessories and clothing etc. I weigh 75kgs at 1.69m height.

1) Which bike would your'll recommend and size ?

2) How do i start participating ? Should i join a club ?

3) Which are reputable shops in the East Rand ?

Thanks in advance . . . :)

Cannondale caad 10 or Scott Cr1 pro/team

And shop- finishline cycles

Caad 10 or CR1is nice but what you really need is a Colnago C59 or M10 with minimum Campag Record or Super Record. 20 k will buy you some nice Assos kit with Sidi Ergo 3 shoes and a R2500-3000 helmet like Bell, Giro or Spez. For borrowing money to buy yr 80-100k bike check out the other threads on selling your soul to the bank or disposing of your house or car to fund your bike.
