Nevermind the Campbells, had Prime Circle this year. And all the potatoes/mieliebrood you can eat :-) If it rains like 2 years back be prepared for a loooong day...Or maybe I'm just not that fitbiggrin.png

Some Freestate rides that deserve a mention:

Eden Classic 75km (Thaba 'Nchu) - some nice technical riding, coupled with the inevitable heat makes this quite tough.

Wolhuterskop 65km (Bethlehem) - plenty of ups-and-down, you can do some trail running and a swim too as they are on the same day.

Bielie Mielie 92km (Frankfort-Reitz) - day 2/3 of Jhb2C, short singletrack sections makes this worth the trip.

The Eden classic is a real challenge but a great route/event.Will remember the other twothumbup1.gif

Imana Wild Ride - 4 days of superlative riding - top ride in the country - best stage race, and each of the 4 days is the best 1 day ride. One of the top experiences in all outdoor activities - and indoor! Tops the Epic, Berg and Bush Descent, Karkloof rides, Mankele, Otter Trail, Sentinel Chain Ladder....

Wines 2 Whales -- because it is a real MTB race

Epic -- a real test of mind and body

Joberg 2 C -- covers most of Berg and Bush and Sani so then no need to do them

Hill 2 Hill -- because I am biased

Karkloof -- great riding

Imana -- venue and event

and from other continents ...

Conquistador -- something very different from S American jungles

BC -- takes in Whistler and other sections of great riding Mecca

Transalp -- tough European ride in the Alps

Langkawi Challenge -- looks like fun in Malaysia

Maybe Crocodile Trophy to get in something from Aus, but doesn't look like much more than a lot of dirt road riding
