Whilst browsing through the shops in Durbanville I stumbled upon a new Cycling Shop that opened its doors today.

Not sure what the name of the shop is, but they stock Pearl Handmade Frames. They also had a very nice Singlespeed / Fixie there. Owner (Warren) seems like a very nice guy with lots of ideas, and he wants to get involved with the local riding scene.

Shop is located in Wellington rd, opposite Scooters Pizza and underneath the Bossonova Restaurant.

go to www.bt-pearl.za.com to browse.

That is then the third bike shop in Durbanville, central and Geco at Cape Gate and then CWC and Cyclelab. Seems like the competition is getting hot.

May be a few too many shops though for them all to survive.

e side, they did the tech points during w2w, must admit i was impressed, at least the techies are cyclist themselves. im getting fed up with ppl working on my bike who has no riding experience. then i need to double check all the work they do.

The shop is a concept store called Bellitanner Pearl and are distribution agents for these brands in South Africa. The shop also imports SHIMANO parts from overseas and will also deal directly with the public via an on-line shop. The shop has an experienced bike work shop run by Etienne van der Vyver who has been around the industry for ages. He has tons of bike repair and service experience - close to 25 years. Their bikes are very nice and are different from the run of the mill stuff. Worth checking the place out.

So many stores. Don't forget Chainreaction, also many of these stores don't always have what you want in my personal experience. So I just order from chainreaction and well i maintain and repair my own bikes always have since I was 11yrs old great bonding experince with my Dad who simple loves cycling thumbup1.gif clap.gif
