Hubbers this question has probably been answered already.

I'm looking at buying a set of new wheels there are 3 sets(brands) I'm looking into any advice yes at the end I know personal preference

1. Fulcrum Racing 3

2. Mavic Ksyrium Elite

3. "Blank" 50mmcarbon clincher wheels-ranging from R5800-R7500(weights from 1500-1850)

All using different hubs, from chosen, powerway & novatec. Different brands imported by local sellers with their own branding.

What would u spend your money on

I've use Ksyrium and deep section Mavics - no issue.

Great wheels.

firstly, you need to ask yourself:

1) are you serious about racing or are you a social rider?

2) are these to be for racing or training or both?

3) are you a light nimble climber or a heavier powerful flats rider?

If you're a big rider at 90 kg plus, choose carefully.

Yip have taken that into account especially with carbon rims, I'm at 85kg

The "old" Ksyrium elites were bomb proof- heard of guys weighing in at 120kg's riding them. I had a set which I passed on after clocking 20000km to a buddy who has subsequently done another 10000km with them and no problem. I upgraded to the Ksyrium SL's and I must say for a 90kg+ ride I would not recommend these. I had my rims replaced earlier this year by Mavic due to cracks after clocking just over 10000km on them.
