In my experience it is quicker and cheaper to go to a sunglass shop than an optician. I think opticians tend to have a bigger markup.

Just look for a shop that is an Adidas agent.

Yeah, could be,........ or you can just call Moscon Optics who are the distributors - 011 483-8001 - and they will tell you the agent closest to you. Saves a bit of hassle.

Why not grab yourself one of the 10 Rudi's up for 600 Rondelas today from ASG?

Someone drove over my friend's Rudy's, we just picked up the lenses...popped them back in, bent the nose piece to its original position and voila! The sunnies look fine, just had a slight scratch across the one lens but no biggie

Sunnies as good as new!! Picked up the new hinge last night clap.gif .

Was however R80.00 for the ONE hinge only. thumbdown.gif Still better than having to buy a new arm at R900.00

Thats actually quite fair Wannabe, average here is 100 bucks each and Moscon is 10 kms away, you will be lucky if they fit them here either, usually just give them to you in a packet and wave goodbye.

After my Adidas Evil Eye Pro sunglasses got bumped out of my hand and promptly stepped on (by the same guy cursing.gif cursing.gif ) at the end of the Burger race, the right hand side "arm" (hinge) got broken off. I decided to first try and get a replacement arm for the sunnies, after all, how much could it cost? I figured in the region of R250.00 to R300.00. Almost fell on my back when I got the quote of just on R900.00 for the one arm. R900.00 for one arm, are they crazy!!?? The thing is made of plastic, and only the small hinge that connects the arm to the glasses got broken. CAN IT REALLY BE R900.00??

New glasses vary in price from R2600.00 to R3100.00 for the same model I've got.

Anybody out there that has a set of Silver Evil Eye Pro's they are not using anymore and want to donate the right hand arm to me?? whistling.gif ph34r.png

Here is a brand new(black) set for R600... http://www.junkmail....-black-22498777

Take a friend with because this deal looks rather dodgy,(Too good to be true) hence the reason I'm not trying to buy it but hopefully all goes well and you have yourself a new set.

Sorry, only saw now after I posted. Not the Evil Eye Pro. It is Evil Eye S.... Maybe the deal isn't "too good to be true". The guy was however advertising for R 1000 and now he has dropped the price to R 600...

Good luck with finding new glasses. It pisses me off when that happens. Only so many pairs of glasses fit and when you loose a pair the cost is insane to replace.

Agree, the chap actually fitted the hinge for me, so I am quite chuffed.

Thanks for the headsup (and expressed concern), but the sunnies is now fixed and ready to do duty for a few years more.
