Disc rotors

Hi there, I am looking to fit Shimano XT/Saint ice tech rotors onto my American Classics. Does anyone know if these will fit?

Are your AC's hubs 6 bolt? If so yes....

The only issue would be whether the hub is bolt or centrelock.

Just had a peek at the AC website. Seems their hubs are 6-bolt.

Mine are 6 bolt - I just wanted to make sure as I am clueless when it comes to compatibility. I have a set of XX centrelock rotors that I want to fit but it is going to mean changing hubs which will be an expensive exercise...

 

Do you think it will be similar in price to just buy them in SA?

You should be able to pick up an XT rotor for about R450 locally.

I mostly ride XC so don't need hectic stopping power. Do you think I should just stick with 160mm at the front?

If you're happy with the 160s, don't change. Adapter should be about R80-R100 should you go that route.

I currently have a 180mm at the front but was wondering if I should go down to a 160mm to save weight if I don't need a bigger disc...

You can get 6 bolt to center lock adapters they about R80 a peace.

Can you please help with a link for this? All I find are centre lock to 6 bolt adapters.

The XT 6 bolts fit on the AC 's . I have just done it last friday on my new bike i built .the AC only come with 6 bolt hubs .
