davem Posted October 3, 2013 Share The race is a Midmar qualifier, therefore the no wetsuit rule. I have emailed the organisers and asked if we can still swim in the dam with wetsuits as long as we steer clear of the racers. I said there were a few of us. So maybe they will be clever and create a separate race for us. She has promised an answer by end of day. dracs
travisza Posted October 3, 2013 Share Great idea. Fingers crossed, I'd really like to get a decent OW swim in before 5150.

Brasco77 Posted October 5, 2013 Share Bass Lake has reduced their rates for swimmers every Wednesday afternoon for the month of October as a trial! Visit their Facebook page or check out their website. I recon they have the best water quality in Gauteng. It is very safe and the facilities are great!! http://www.basslake.co.za/

gripen Posted October 10, 2013 Share Hey davem, so which race will we swim with the wetsuit? What distance? and cost? I'm also keen, nice dam and with the 5150 coming... need to get in 1 or 2 wetsuit swims. Then again, there is a 50/50 chance always with VLC..
