  1. thanks for asking this im in exactly the same position, and would like to know as well
  2. i read this on one of the VW forums, i could be wrong.
  3. thanks for the help, its interesting as i understand SA didnt get the 2 door gti, thats why the 2 door gt was sold. then VW for some reason decided to make a convertible version of this car which completely unique to SA, compared to the normal mk1 convertible it has a different B pillar design, different roof and most unique of all big lights at the back instead of the small mk1 lights found on all mk1 convertibles. the B pillar has a badge that says GTC by ronde which iv been told is the factory/shop that did the conversion for VW but i cannot find any info to confirm this
  4. any info on the gtc, was this really a factory made convertible, why would VW sa make a convertible like this which is very different to the normal mk1 convertible found in sa and around the world, how many were made, as there is a small plaque in the engine bay saying 'sa design 83/0429' i heard this is reference to the numbers produced but im not sure? what was the price? which engine did it come out with
  5. does anyone here have information or know the history about the golf mk1 gt series that came out around the early mid 80s, like the gt, gts and more specifically the gtc convertible, i cant find anything online.
  6. i have been using a 4iiii for a couple of years now and have been very happy, last week when replacing the battery i noticed the small rubber O ring is broken, i emailed them asking where or how do i get a replacement, and have not received any response, can anybody here provide a phone number for them or tell where to get a replacement O ring.
  7. so we did ride together, i had the black and silver giant propel with bluish grey team roshnee top, good ride buddy, not many guys came forward, we did most of the work as you said, that tall cyclelab guy with us was beast, this was the most fun i ever had in a race, we could have gone faster on that highway section if more guys came forward, my first time in AL and i must say those guys dont play on the hills
  8. hey there i think i could have been one of the four riders you mentioned, what kit did you have on? i was right behind you when your chain dropped, and also finished same time as you
  9. the mother child nutrition posts got me thinking, and this is a honest question, is breast milk allowed?
  10. hi guys i have saeco syntia thats giving me an error message, i googled the error code and try to resolve it with no luck, can anyone recommend a person or where the best place would be to send the machine in to be fixed with out costing a fortune (its not a very expensive model). Thanks
  11. Can someone help me here, In the steve smith press conference smith clearly said many times it was a decision taken by the leadership of the team, how is that now they said only 3 players and nobody else came up with the plan and knew about it.
  12. my boy struggled with the grip shifter also when he first got his bike at 4years old, what made difference and helped him alot was wearing gloves, he seems to get a better grip. took him about two months of stopping and using two hands or me to shift for him but then got use to it and built enough strength.
  13. as flowta said, cant be done from what iv been researching. but thanks for the response
  14. been following this thread for while now and couldnt resist anymore so i decided to build myself a steel hardtail, got a contraband rogue frame but now cant seem to find a fork that will fit, as the bike takes a straight steerer 1 1/8 fork, any advice as to where i can look? im looking for a long travel 29" fork as well, i already put a wanted ad and phoned around many shops with no luck.
