capeofstorms Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Flip was in the shop today. How does one walk out the shop with a new bike without being noticed?
frodo Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 Long story but never trust anyone you don't know personally, it may cost you !
Meezo Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Long story but never trust anyone you don't know personally, it may cost you ! Personally... do he/she/it have a name or face atleast. So we can kick it in en track the rest of these top end bikes that are being stolen
Let's Ride Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 (edited) Thing is, if the person plans to keep it he/she will have to ride it overseas or out of this country or risk getting caught as we live in a very small world. So I hope he or she sh ts bricks whenever they take the bike out for a ride - I sure would. Hope Olympic get it back. Edited January 12, 2013 by Let's Ride
Surv0MTB Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 such a pity, make sure they hand you their keys, wallet, cellphone before taking a bike on a test ride around the block..

Thieves are clever. Go steal a car and go to the lbs. Hand over keys and take bike for an extended test ride. Go outside with the guy and make him ride in a yard or a cul-de-sac, way better option.
