How / where do you find the settings to change the measuring units from Mph to Km/h?

I look everywhere in the manual (both hardcopy and online) and I cannot find it.

Please help!!!!

I think you do it under each specific sport's settings. I stand corrected tho.

Where and how? Been everywhere I could think of looking. Coming from Polar HRM usage for the last five years, this is quite a learning curve for me.

I just came from Polar as well, I'll have a look when I get home and see if I can find it. Set it up a week or two ago, so I'm not too familiar with navigating the menus.

Wannabe......don't have my unit in front of me but I think it is under "settings", "initial settings"

Think it is where you put your age, height, weight etc. in.

Either that or under "System Settings"

Good luck

Tx jc, checked and mine was correct. But when I download it to Garmin connect, it shows miles, mph, fahrenheid, etc. (in other words, American :cursing: ). I looked on the website, cannot see there either where (if at all possible) to change it.

Look under your name in the top right hand side of the page on the Garmin Connect page, click on the down arrow, scroll down to settings and change the settings there!

Thanks, got it. Now which timezone should it be? Is GMT correct?

Is anybody else having an issue currently to upload files on Garmin Connect? When I click upload it tells me the site is down for maintenance. Strange, I've had that for days now?

Using strava, but my samsung's battery does not last for a 4 hr plus ride.

down load your garmin 500 files to strava works the same as Garmin connect. you dont need your phone.
