So be it. Thanks Wendell.

Good for me. I entered on day 1 when entries opened. Now I have to figure a way to stay near the front.

Good stuff step one completed

If your surname starts with Z you should have considered changing it before entering.....

Try and score as many national event points as possible

Good luck :-)

What age group you in Swissvan?

As far as I understood seeding for startline was going to go according to national seeding and points obtained at national XC races.

If you have been racing nationals you will see the SA masters are serious and motivated. If you havn't done lap racing for a while and have entered you may be in for a surprise.Just about every ex SA national champion has come out of the woodwork for this event.Jeroen Swart,Fritz Pienaar ect etc will all be on the line and strong.

I wont be surprised at all if a few WC come out of SA at the end of this event.

See you all on the start line.

The age group that will probably record the fastest lap times after the 35-39 guys

thats the 45-49 group

Agree with what you say, some serious ex SA elite riders now in the age groups and ja its not going to be a fun ride.

I really hope some of the top age group riders from overseas attend, it will be interesting to compare the standards

Wish i could be there

So this is ride that can be entered by your average Joe?

How many laps do the 30-34yr category do?

I'm interested, fo show. Never done xco before, gulp.

UMMM ... not that i know of - not for Masters anyway ... this would hold true for the Elites (and if you are racing a World Cup where you need points to be allowed to enter) .... but with Masters ... anyone over 30 years of age ... who DO NOT have any UCI points to their names (gained at World Cups or racing Nationals or UCI ranked races in the Elite Category) .... but do hold a National Racing Licence where they are registered as a Master in the UCI Category ... can race!

So you dont need points .... I havent done nationals in AGES but i have still entered. ....

To revive this....

As a weekend warrior entrant in the DH discipline I was wondering if there was an area set aside for us to set up our "Pits". Been on the website and I see there is an area for National teams as well as the MTB Trade Teams. As an individual entry I have no problem operating from my car, but will we be able to get close to the competitors area?

im pretty keen to enter the masters DH but a few questions for anyone thats maybe done it before im not a experienced DH rider more of a trail/all mountain rider is it ok to do the DH with my Santa Cruz TallBoy LTc ? did watch the video walkthru of the DH Masters course but you dont get the feel of height on the jumps or how extreme it really is ?
