Where can I get Cane Creek Headset Replacement Bearings?

Pointless replacing the whole headset if all I need is the Sealed Cartridge Bearings, actually only really need one as just the bottom one got water contaminated and toasted, I tried repacking it with grease but the bearing surfaces are too pitted and the bearing is all notchy now...

Its a standard 1-1/8" external headset for a 2008 Morewood Shova.

Apparently its called Sealed Cartridge Bearing 1-1/8" 36 x 45 Cane Creek Compatible.

MH-PO3K 35x45 deg

Internal Bearing Diameter is 30.2mm

External Bearing Diameter is 41mm

6.5mm High

Fits standard 1 1/8" Cartridge Bearing Headsets

if you struggle, bearing net or someone similar will have

But its got a slight flange on the inner/outer race, seems quite MTB specific?

You reckon bearing man will keep it?

Pretty sure it's a generic size. Check the skf catalogue online

Either way your LBS "should" stock them or be able to get them.

Nope, it is bicycle-specific.

However, it is a very, very common bicycle part made by 1001 bicycle parts manufacturers. R60 a pop at any bike shop.

For those interested in history, this 36/35 bearing was the first headset cartridge bearing that changed the way bike headsets worked. The patent expired two years ago and suddenly even the Americans think it is a good idea. They (Chris King and company) refused to license it and plowed ahead with a rubbish press-fit system until the patent expired. Now suddenly it is an excellent idea and their headsets use it.
