We just went to enjoy our first stage race together and end up getting the first place! Really got some new respect for my wife, Friday was her first ever 80km on a mtb, and haven't done any back to back races before, so to race for 3 days above her comfort zone was quite special! All in all great event, well organized, nice vibe, great routes and awesome prizes. Lots of Capestorm giveaways which made it a good value for money race. Can highly recommend it for anyone that want to try a stage race. fabes 1

Stevief Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 I loved the weekend, awesome riding great vibe and agreed that its good value for money, the Capestorm goveaways alone was worth approx R1300-R1500. Yesterdays mud ride was the best fun i have had in ages, even though my bike hates me, it also didnt want to change gears . fabes 1

Felt stronger on day 2 than on day 1.Outcasts We headed up the back of the field. Did it with my father (he was Solo) and my brother. We all stuck together. They both did no training so I had 3 long days. What was your team name

Boejbanelli Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Ha Ha, and guess what makes it even better...I just got a call from Grden Route Events to say I won the Lucky Draw...I wasn't at prizegiving becasue we had to vacate our accomodation by 12, but apparently they were chanting "redraw, redraw"...thank goodness they didn't. Eeeehaaa! Thats icing on the cake for you. fabes and Jorrie 2
