Apart from Dialdbikes and bikebits, try Rush Sports http://www.rushsportscycling.com/Store/ByCategory/Chainrings.aspx I have the e13, light and strong and colourful if you are pimping the ride!

Yes you can use a normal chainring in the meantime until you can find a suitable specifice SS chainring, it will work. I started with a middle chainring from a deore crank and broke apart an old 7spd cassette for the sprocket and used that for a couple of months whilst I ordered bits to pimp my ride. doppelganger 1

The blackspire looks great, a little pricey though....probably worth it?

I'd say "worth every penny" doppelganger 1

After using it for some time I sold it to Iron who rode the bejeebers out of it and eventually it started jumping.
