Hi guys

I am busy sourcing parts locally. I will be using the One One chain tensioner, the Dartmoor Totem chainring and the DMR spacer kit.

Now my question is: where can I find narrow crank bolts locally. I see CRC have them but it will be a bit ridiculous to post a packet of bolts from overseas.

Any ideas?

Ask for 4x derailleur hanger bolts from your LBS, or use some washers on the inside of the chainring.

Or file/grind down some longer bolts (the female side)

Or I think KCNC makes short ones that you can buy at your LBS - Shimano also makes some, I think some Dura-Ace bolts work.

Will these Sprockets work? http://dialdbikes.co...e-sprocket.html

I see they mention: "Single Speed Cassette Sprocket for Shimano Pattern

Will I need to use only Shimano chains?

Contrary to what most shops will have you believe - almost any chains works in SSing.

That said - the worst possible thing in SSing is when the chain slips and you either smash your whatnots on the crossbar or try and kiss your front wheel at high speed.

The "standard" in SSing is a track chain - they're pretty cheap and nice and strong. It's a normal chain from a track bike - most shops should have them.

This is my favourite chain (for your next CRC order) - oh and my favourite chainrings...

I reckon this combo is the gold standard in SSing - I've used Shimano DX, DMR, no name brand and a variety of random sprockets with no issues at all with this pairing.

Save yourself time and effort and get hold of Grant Usher www.singlespeed.co.za

Set of bolts is around R120 and you get different colours.

Man - when is the Crusher getting that site up and running again. He had some trick stuff on there!
