Yip I thought so, other than the 2 guys that came past us when we stopped I don't understand how there was so many riders at the shop when we got there. (unless they did the 100km)

crasher Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) This was only my second one the first being last monthI found this was a much tougher day out than last monthI found it tough coming back esp from about 170km onwards.We did the reverse loop around and back to shop and gave us 200kms with the loop.If we had come straight in on the shop road we would of only had about 192kms Last time it wasnt as windy and we had a group of 8This time only 3 of us and the wind (wont make this mistake again) Still a great way to spend a Sunday I also didnt like that climb out of Heidelberg felt really sorry for the guy on that beautifull Bottecchia hit the one hawker with the kite and went down and damaged his levers etc which was all super record eps I felt like crying and it wasnt even my bike Edited July 1, 2013 by crasher
Underachiever Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Shucks!! To have a scratch on that bike We need to find a decent and safe route where we can ride in Northerly direction on the outwards leg, and then come back with the wind behind us for that last 50 km or so!!

Underachiever Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 New route is tougher that normal one - about 300 m more climbing, but the last stage MUCH better, with some nice downhill sections. A great race!!
